A 36-hour FinTech hackathon of product development, where diverse ideas collide and the best ones emerge as a new product or service.
It's a madhouse of creative fun, with Coding, Designing and Marketing working together in teams for accelerated productivity. Shine in front of tech leaders presenting your project "on stage".
Participants will work in teams from Friday evening (November 1st) and have 36 hours to devise, build and launch their prototypes. The event will then conclude with a pitch on stage to startup, talents, experts and judges during the final event on Sunday (November 3rd).
It is a satellite event of the Hong Kong FinTech Week 2019. It's one of the largest conferences on the calendar, attracting more than 10,000 senior executives and featuring over 250 of the world's top FinTech founders, investors, regulators, and academics, who are shaping the future of financial services by driving a technological revolution in the industry across Asia and globally.
So if you are a developer, a designer, a business person, a startup tackling pain points of the Fintech and InsurTech industries, make sure to book your spot.

I - Problem statement for Students, Startups, Entrepreneurs and Professionals by HKECIC : Escalation Service
We want an escalation services that allows submission from authorised third-parties. Each submission follows a set of rules based on the types of escalation, which include receipt, processing and dissemination of data and documents preferably on real-time basis.
Today, the credit insurer has all the established processes handled manually with data and documents submission not on real-time basis; resources of the authorised third-parties will need to increase to handle cascading problems causing late submission of data and documents to the credit insurer for examination and processing

How much does it cost?
Only HK$50 per hacker.
What will we provide?
Good Wi-fi, Good Food, Experienced mentors, comfortable place to work non-stop, some amazing swag and rewards.
Are startups allowed to participate?
Yes, and get the chance to do Pilot of their solution with the organizers.
How big are the teams?
Just right for agile work: Up to 8 people.
What if I don't have a team?
No problem! Part of the fun of a hackathon is meeting new, smart people. There will be plenty of time for everyone to meet each other and pick teams before the start of the actual hacking.
What should I bring?
Valid photo ID for admission, your tools of the trade, chargers for those tools and whatever else you need to make it through alive!
Is there a code of conduct?
Yes. Be nice to each other
Are there any rewards?
Yes, the winning team will win a HK$25,000 reward! Second place will get HK$15,000 and third place will get HK$10,000!
What if I don't win?
Don't worry! Everyone wins at FinTech Hackathon! We have some amazing sponsors who will be providing great prizes for all attendees in your goodie bags!
